A brand is simply a mark or a standing out impact that remains known and can be easily identified or related to a certain good, service or person. Most start-ups have been led to the evil belief that branding is directly inclined to the large business or the corporate, but that is a thing of the past. The success of a business is solely relied on the customer experience with the said product or service. The liking of the commodities will guarantee the success of the business but if not so, then it becomes a challenge that will make you choose to strive to overcome or lead your business to failure.
Branding plays in exclusively at this point because it will determine how the customer will perceive the importance of that product or service in their lives. It is therefore an emotional connect between the brand and the customer, that is, if they embrace the brand you have a buyer if not, then you lose the customer. It happens many times that someone has a better product but no good branding whereas there is a poor product but with a better brand. Research shows that most customers will go for the better-branded product since they simply want to be associated with that brand as a part of their lives.
Branding is in two ways mainly: Product/service branding and Personal branding for entrepreneurs because they go hand in hand unlike Personal branding, which applies to every entrepreneur or employee. It involves many aspects for the products “packaging’ with an understanding of how that product relates with the target market. Since your customers are the direct link to the success of your business, it is important to have a clear relationship that enables you to engage, making it easier for you to know what needs to be improved and what is fairing on well.
It is important in as much as one focuses on branding a product or a company not to forget themselves as individuals since both are tied in one and success for both should be the overriding factor to be considered.
